A visual campaign to highlight and celebrate 25 years of transport for London.
The project explores the evolution of London’s transport network, highlighting its role in shaping the city’s identity over the past 25 years. It reflects how Transport for London has influenced movement, connectivity, and daily life across the capital, becoming an essential part of London’s cultural and urban fabric.
Each poster captures a different aspect of TfL, from iconic London landmarks such as Big Ben to the development of the Northern line extension to Battersea, reflecting the city’s ongoing growth. The series also highlights advancements in transport technology, including the Emirates Air Line cable car, the introduction of contactless payment, and the newly built Elizabeth line.
The visual language is unified through line work inspired by the Tube map, with each poster’s composition echoing interconnected routes. This creates a cohesive design system, linking the series together while mirroring the structure and connectivity of London’s transport network itself.
The visual style is inspired by historic London Underground posters and advertising, reimagined for a contemporary audience. It combines bold typography, simplified forms, and iconic colour references with a modern sense of clarity, bridging TfL’s design heritage with its present-day identity.
